Theoretical part of the thesis summarizes state-of-the-art knowledge about photovoltaic conversion and devices taking the advantage of the principle. The first part of the thesis describes production and application of photovoltaic cells and their impact on the environment. Second part of the thesis deals with the principle of photovoltaic conversion. Next part lists materials used for the production of photovoltaic cells and the process of encapsulation. The fourth part summarizes knowledge about degradation of photovoltaic panels. Experimental part of the thesis statistically analysis the data gathered from the above mentioned power plant. Influence of degradation factors (surface temperature of PV panel, air temperature, wind velocity and radiation intensity) on effectiveness of energy conversion was examined in particular. The published results can be applied on analysis of new projects and/or used for modification of production technological processes.

The work deals with the measurement of CV characteristics of photovoltaic cells and the consequent derivation of the free / bound charge in the volume. It also discusses factors that influence these measurements.
Photovoltaic, as an alternative source of electricity
Floková, Kateřina ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this work is to provide a description and an explanation of the process of obtaining elektrical energy from solar radiation. There is preliminary mentioned an importance of producing electrical energy from renewable sources and development of photovoltaic systems. The body of the thesis is divided into seven chapters. At first, there is described the principle of transformation solar radiation into electrical energy. Then, the description of types of barrier-layer photocells follows. The types are divided according to their structure and material, which are they produced from. The third chapture is focused on production and construction of photovoltaic modules. Ways, how can be production of electricity increased, are mentioned in the fourth chapture. Advantages and disadvantages of solar concentrators are given there. In the fifth chapture there are described two basic kinds of connection of photovoltaic system. Different ways of taking-off produced electricity are related with those kinds of connection. The last chapture is the fundamental chapture of the thesis. There is given a project of concrete photovoltaic system. For this system is calculated economic return of investment included supposed increase of prices of electricity. In conlusion the author noticed events that would be given and emphasized the outcome of concerete project of photovoltaic system.
Monitoring of photovoltaic power plant Brumovice
Šumberák, David ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Pochyla, Martin (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis deals with monitoring of photovoltaic power plant with nominal performance 3,075 MW. The first part describes the principle of photovoltaic conversion of solar energy, summarizes the principles of the photovoltaic phenomena, current trends and promising options. The following part of thesis an introduction to photovoltaic power plant in Brumovice, it is her monitoring and determining the efficiency. In the last part metod of calculating return power plant is describes.
Photoimpedace spectroscopy characterization of optical and electrical properties of the photovoltaic cells
Mocharová, Zuzana ; Chladil, Ladislav (referee) ; Novák, Vítězslav (advisor)
Diploma thesis mainly describes the theoretical knowledge of the topic photoimpedance spectroscopy characterization of optical and electrical properties of the photovoltaic cells, which contains development and princip of cells working, material properties of photovoltaic cells, explanation of electromagnetic waves, spectrophotometry and impedance spectroscopy, followed by a discription of the measuring device and used measuring methods. Optimalisation of thermal properties of solar cell modules
Dohnalová, Lenka ; Matiašovský, Peter (referee) ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (advisor)
The topic of presented diploma thesis is study of thermal properties structures of photovoltaic cells. The main goal of this thesis is study of ways of heat spreading from volume and planar materials (conduction, convection and radiation). Then it is needed to determine contributions of heat spread from laminated photovoltaic cell and compare them to results measured by transient pulse method, step wise method and with thermo-camera using. At the beginning of this thesis it will be needed to define heat and ways it’s spread. Heat is closely connected with temperature. That is reason why will be there spoken about temperature and methods of its measuring. Than there will be defined basic thermo-physical parameters of materials. Thermo-physical parameters of materials will be measured by transient methods that will be characterized later and by thermo-camera. This thesis deals with photovoltaic cells, so there will be described their structure, properties, utilization and way of their production. Subsequently after the definition of all needed terms the experimental part of this thesis will be introduced. It will be needed to characterize measured volume material and define its thermo-physical parameters. Using the pulse transient method, step wise method and thermo-camera there will be measured the thermal response of PMMA sample, nonlaminated photovoltaic cell and also samples of laminated photovoltaic cells. Findings of all described methods will be finally compared.
